Hull number 2 of Walter Schultz's design, Shannon has a proven pedigree of high quality yachts that are built for durability and ocean passagemaking. There is a total of 6 of these boats, all of which originally belonged to members of the New York Yacht Club. They were used as committee for races as well as pleasure craft, and this boat was kept at Sag Harbor, NY. He has designed a hull that is extremely fuel efficient, 10 gph at 20 kts, and makes this boat a pleasure to cruise on. All records from the first day are available, and the owners have continued to make improvements and upgrades.
